On June 30, 1977, KISS pulled off one of the greatest double-moves in rock history: they released the Love Gun album AND a Marvel comic book printed with their own blood. In today’s episode, Robert John Hadfield and Gary Casella dive deep into this wild marketing stunt, the genius of the Love Gun cover art, and the often-overlooked studio tracks from Alive II.

You’ll also hear them:
Break down the timeline from Destroyer to Dynasty
Reminisce about the campy cult classic KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park
Reveal a dusty Love Gun puzzle from Robert’s childhood toy closet
Try to make sense of why “Tomorrow and Tonight” doesn’t get more love
Dream up a KISS + Marvel superhero movie crossover
From singing action figures to shockingly risqué puzzles for kids, this episode celebrates the band that turned themselves into mythic rock gods—cape, fire, eyeliner, and all.

🎥 And yes… we are considering a live watch party of Phantom of the Park. With wisecracks.
