Travel back to August 1986 as Robert John Hadfield flips through an issue of Hit Parader packed with everything that made the mid-'80s hard rock and metal scene unforgettable. From the heated Van Halen vs. David Lee Roth era to the rumors of a Led Zeppelin reunion, this magazine captures one of the most exciting moments in rock history.

Along the way, you'll revisit KISS, Dio, Mötley Crüe, Metallica, Dokken, Ratt, Judas Priest, Bon Jovi, Black Sabbath, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, and dozens of other bands that defined the decade. Plus, we'll laugh our way through outrageous fashion, mail-order merchandise, guitar lessons, posters, vintage advertisements, and all the wonderfully over-the-top moments that made these magazines so much fun.
