Robert John will personally host and lead the group throughout the entire journey, sharing many of the destinations, hotels, restaurants, and experiences he has discovered during his own travels in the region.
The journey begins in Chiang Mai, where we’ll explore ancient temples, colorful markets, night bazaars, historic sites, traditional Thai culture, and some truly incredible food. From there, we’ll fly south to Ao Nang on Thailand’s Andaman coast for beaches, snorkeling, island hopping, limestone cliffs, turquoise water, and the challenging 1,200-step climb to the spectacular Tiger Cave Temple.
We’ll then travel to Siem Reap, Cambodia, to experience the extraordinary temples of Angkor Wat—including the otherworldly Ta Prohm temple featured in Tomb Raider—along with the city’s markets, restaurants, and nightlife.
After returning briefly to Chiang Mai for a cooking class, cultural experiences, and final shopping, we’ll board the overnight train to Bangkok. There, we’ll explore Chinatown, travel along the river, visit the Grand Palace and some of the city’s magnificent temples, and enjoy free time to experience Bangkok for ourselves.
The trip package will include hotels, regional flights, the overnight train, in-country transportation, and all planned group activities. International airfare to and from Thailand, meals, personal shopping, and optional extras will not be included.
Because this is an Audiomover adventure, Robert John and the team will also visit a record store or two, bring production equipment to record several episodes, and possibly give members of the group an opportunity to participate. Most importantly, this will be a relatively small group—not a large commercial tour—made up of people who already share a love of music, artists, travel, and unforgettable experiences.
If you’re interested in exploring Thailand and Cambodia with Robert John Hadfield and the Audiomover community, email [email protected] with TRIP in the subject line. You’ll be invited to our informational Zoom meeting, where we’ll share the final itinerary and price, explain the deposit process, and answer your questions.
Dates, destinations, and activities are subject to change as final arrangements are completed.
